ASP.NET MVC3：TryUpdateModel抛出异常

我有一个接受以下模型的视图：

虽然我不能在这里突出显示它，但是第137行发生了异常。我无法介入此方法，那么如何确定导致此异常的原因？ 另外，TryUpdateModel是不是应该避免任何异常，只是返回true或false来反映结果？我不知道它可能会抛出异常。 更新：这是模型（派生和基础）：

    不知道为什么在没有看到您的模型和查看代码的情况下发生此异常，但尝试简化您的操作： 
    [HttpPost]

{
    if (!ModelState.IsValid)
    {
        return View(job);
    }
    _jobRepository.AddJob(job);
    _jobRepository.Save();
    return RedirectToAction("Index");
}

    我改变了： 
    [StringLength(3)]
public int? GroupID { get; set; }
    至： 
    public int? GroupID { get; set; }
    所以StringLength属性产生了问题，因为GroupID是int？而且似乎StringLength属性仅对字符串有效。
